Spoonflower Custom Wallpaper

Being able to create your own pattern for wallpaper is completely ingenious! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve though of a pattern that would be awesome for fabric, but then can’t find it anywhere. And wallpaper print is basically the same thing.

Now, if only if only they set it up so that it was like the t-shirt company Threadless….  that sounds like a good way to make some dough.

Garage —> Mini House!!

You may be asking, um why? But the real question you should be asking… WHY NOT?! I mean if you’re not going to use it as a garage…

The what’s stopping you from making it a lovely little getaway in your own backyard!

Minus the cat. But I love all the open space created by lofting the bed. It’s like having a multipurpose basement for houses built on cinderblocks. Hopefully, it’s less expensive than finishing a basement.

Manhattan Nest Kitchen Revamp

I always obsess over the amazing renovations that people do. How they completely tear-out everything and create something completely new. No longer will I look at super dated and seemingly dismal kitchens and automatically want to rip it apart. The seemingly hopeless can be refresh, renewed, and just as awesome (but for a lot less money). I am completely in awe.

Mini Italian Abode

The house know for being chalk-full of style in only 75 square feet. YEP, that was not a typo. This just makes all those micro-apartments seem like child’s play.

Although, apparently the owner and creator of this place doesn’t actually live here…. he rents is out to tourists, etc. Which is kind of awesome, but I would be more impressed if someone actually lived here fulltime.

The thought of painting a wall black 3/4 of the wall up a wall would have never occurred to me. But thank you Restless Oasis for opening my eyes to a brand new awesome world.

Simple reason why this is obsession worthy: you get to capture all the drama and elegance that goes with painting walls super dark colors, but you maintain that light airy open feeling.

Amazeballs (yep, I’m bringing that word back into circulation, unless you can think of a better one)

White Painted Mid-Century Modern Furniture
First off, I really don’t know what it is about midcentury modern furniture that gets me soooo excited. But seriously, if I had the money, or could find the pieces, I would have a house full of it…. Well, I guess I would need a house too.
But this trend, the trend of adding white accents to tired, old midcentury modern pieces, just makes these piece so much better! And clearly, Christopher White’s Revitalized Artistry collection proves this to be sooo true.
For some reason this furniture seems most appropriate for a house in New Zealand…. I feel some relocatin’ in my future.

Tri-Tone Kitchen
Seriously, just when I thought two-tone kitchens are amazing. White up top, light down below, with a little dark island. So gorgeous. It reminds be a little of ombre…. but I have a feeling ombre cabinets might be a little too much awesomeness to keep a kitchen clean and classy.
This would be awesome as white, blue, and navy or white, grey, and black. My house…. white top dark dark gray lowers, with a dark purple island. To much? Nah, just perfect.

YHL Fireplace Makeover

AMAZEMENT. UTTER AMAZEMENT. Before sucks-hard, During is fine, nothing special, but nice enough, and after…. A-FREAKIN’-MAZING. This is why I love old homes. Homes that need ridiculous amounts of work. And this is way more inspiring than any new home fire place could ever be… let’s just say it has character!!

Garden Kitchen Makeover

From Garbage to Gorgeous. Seriously, who would want to continue to live in a kitchen with pink bead board walls and pale blue kitchen cabinets? No one. Exactly my point.

But honestly, I’m not sure what the stand out feature of this kitchen is? all the wonderful coordinated pops of red? The combination of white cabinets with black countertops? Or the black and white cat sitting on the counter?

But I’m not a cat person, so that’s just disguisting…

Brooklyn Kitchen Transformation

So I have to be honest… when I first saw this pre-transformation pic, I got a little upset. To me, this seems like a perfectly plain, neutral, modern kitchen. How on earth could someone just spending thousands of dollars to redo a kitchen that’s perfectly functional??

Then I saw the after pics…

Now my only though: alright, well done. I see your point now.

Never again will I doubt those Brooklynites.
