Roller Skating Shame Love, love, love this picture. Especially because she probably is laughing instead of crying. Seriously, what’s not funny about falling and making a fool of yourself while having a blast! I’m also kind of a fan of her dress and hair. I want to have a roller skating birthday party… totally 50s style!

Adorable Roller Skating Outfit UGH. I long for the day when the sidewalks of the world are smooth enough that we can all just roller skate everywhere. I long for the day when roller skates are considered an appropriate shoe and not a nuisance worn by uncontrollable children. Then roller skating can be pretty, and outfits made to match.  If only, if only….

UGH. I long for the day when the sidewalks of the world are smooth enough that we can all just roller skate everywhere. I long for the day when roller skates are considered an appropriate shoe and not a nuisance worn by uncontrollable children. Then roller skating can be pretty, and outfits made to match. 

If only, if only….

National Cereal Day

I figure that was no better way to celebrate than some how combining my obsession with food holidays with my obsession with something else… and I decide the 1950s would be perfect cuz even those grandparents of your’s ate cereal.

And without that wonderful 10 years, we wouldn’t have seen the birth of:

  • Cocoa Puffs
  • Honey Smacks
  • Cocoa Krispies
  • Rice Chex
  • Corn Pops
  • Trix
  • Raisin Bran
  • Frosted Flakes… which combined with raisin bran is basically my fav combo ever…
  • Special K… most surprising, I though that was only like 5-10 years ago
  • Jets… which died in the early 70s, at least it lasted longer than Hannah Montana’s

PS… Mr. Trix Rabbit, freakin’ awesome!!!! Did anyone else notice he was rockin’ the roller skates?! I love roller skates!!

Roller Skates… That I Own!

Don’t you love when the things you become obsessed over become a permanent part of your life. Like these

ARE THE NOT THE MOST AWESOME ROLLER SKATES YOU HAVE EVER SEEN?!?!?!? (rhetorical question, because obviously they are). I love them, they’re perfect. Now I can fulfill my dream of having those people hatin’.

Now they may not be the skates I was originally obsessed with, but if your obsessions don’t grow and change over time… then obviously you’re not spending enough time obsessing over them.

Oh Pinterest, I loved you from the day I met you, but now… Now I’m head over heals for you, you and your super awesomeness. Super awesomeness like these cowboy boots turned roller skates. Roller skates that rocked my world. Literally, my reality of what I thought was possible has for ever changed, and from this point on shoes are not cool UNLESS they can be made in to roller skates. Beautiful, wonderful roller skates. Why walk when you can glide gracefully (or not) through the streets.  Just one problem though (it’s tiny)…. how do I get a hold of these?
